YouTube Video - War (2007) movie trailer

After his partner Tom Wynne (Terry Chen) and family are killed apparently by the infamous and elusive assassin Rogue (Jet Li), FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) becomes obsessed with revenge as his world unravels into a vortex of guilt and betrayal. Rogue eventually resurfaces to settle a score of his own, setting off a bloody crime war between Asian mob rivals Chang (John Lone) of the Triad’s and Yakuza boss Shiro (Ryo Ishibashi). When Jack and Rogue finally come face to face, the ultimate truth of their pasts will be revealed.

:shock:I went and seen War (2007)  movie tonight because I’m a huge Jet Li and Jason Statham fan. I love most of their movies because of the pure action. And this movie definitely did not disappoint me. Wow….it had the action and some twists to the movie that just had me saying “WOW”….

If your a Jet Li or Jason Statham fan like myself go watch this movie because its a must see in that regard. This movie just plain kicked some serious ass. When I first heard they would be doing a movie together I was already excited. So today I had a free day pretty much and well I needed to get out of the house so I went and seen this. As I said I loved it….great action and a nice twist at toward the end of the movie :D

Movies movies movies!

Posted by David Forsyth on August 27th, 2007

Well this week has been a bit quiet for me so I have been able to catch up on watching some movies. Unfortunately at this moment its still through my PC and PS2 system as I’m saving up for a new DVD player. I’m thinking about picking up just a DVD recorder this time around and move what I have on VHS to DVD format. Of course things I have recorded off of tv that is.

Anyway! I got the following movies during this week.

 yes a pretty good list heh?

Well lets firstly say I liked the movie Perfect Stranger which stars Bruce Willis and Halle Berry. This movie had some great twists to it and wow I was like WTF? at the end of it. I won’t say anymore then that because I would not want to spoil it for those who have not seen it. But trust me pick it up and give it a watch. Even if you just feel like its a rent movie.

Vacancy - hmmm it was pretty good as well. Not as good as I was hoping but I was entertained so heh thats all that matters. Would I go out of my way and buy it? maybe I don’t know its a in between type of movie for me. But I say rent it and judge for yourself.

Are We Done Yet? - If you liked the movie Are We There Yet then I say go get this movie because its pretty funny. Stupidly funny I guess is a way to put it. I enjoyed it and would consider going and buying it.  I don’t think it was as good as Are we there Yet but it was good.

TMNT – Hey! its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Enough said! Ok I was a bit disappointed that this movie was a animated version when it first came out. But after watching the movie I really got into it. It was good and I’m glad they kept up with what the previous 3 movies was all about and just didn’t do a clean fresh start on the series. I would buy it if your a TMNT fan!

Wild Hogs – Man! I just love this movie. I laughed my ass off watching it in the threatres. This movie was no question a buying one for me. I cracked up through biggest part of it. There was some parts it just makes you shake your head but for what its worth it still cracks ya up!

Private Lessons (1981) – Man I completely forgot about this movie until Netflix suggested it to me because of another movie I had rented before. Its a ok movie…but there is one part that truly  me off! In the movie this woman strips in front of a boy. I thought oh man I get to see the goods…THEN WHAM! I get cut off! yep they censored the goods….WTF?… its rated R! Ohhhhhhh well not like I can’t find better movies anyway that goes all out. But still thats not the point!

Ball & Chain – hmmm I don’ know what to think of this movie. I wouldn’t buy it but I would rent it I guess is a good way to put it. The movie stars Kal Penn who plays Kumar in Harold & Kumar movies.  But anyway I was hoping for a bit more humor but it wasn’t there. But the movie was decent for what it was. If you like a romantic comedy low budget movie then pick it up.

sick….

Posted by David Forsyth on August 18th, 2007

Ugh yep that says it all on how I feel right now.

My mom who hardly ever gets to sick caught something this past week and it seems I naturally had to catch it to. For 3 days straight I have nothing but ran to the bathroom with diarrhea. Then last night I got the dreaded cold chills and stomach cramp ups that just ugh. I ended up having to take a pain pill last night just to sleep as my body just felt like someone was beating on it.

The aches has been horrible.

I got cold chills early this morning and now here I am at almost 2:30pm sweating my ass off being overly hot. Yep of course I got the fan on and still roasting. I also have a headache at the moment that does not seem to want to go away…..

I sure hope this is a sign with the heating that my body is just trying to kick this damn cold because it sure does suck!

DVD Player dies!

Posted by David Forsyth on August 11th, 2007

ugh!

On a day when I get the following movies to watch

My DVD player decides its far time it passes away! nooooooooooooooooo!

My god I was bored today and wanting to watch the movies I had got from a friend and ones I rented and POOF it decides to die on me.

Thankfully I got the playstation 2 to use however the movies come in a dark when using it *grumbles*

So soon a new DVD player will need to be purchased. But first I got my eyes on a nice little digital camera. Sure I could probably wait on it but I’m getting it at a nice price and the last thing I past up on at a nice price was a 26 inch HD widescreen tv and I past up on it! ughhhhhhhhhhhh the dumbest mistake of my life!

ok so not the dumbest but close! :P

Anyway its a sad world for me because until I get a new DVD player I’m gonna have to use my PC’s dvd burner/player or the PS2 and well neither is all that great.

Anyway at least Sci-fi channel entertained me some today with the ghost movies they was playing all night.

They had some movie on called Lost Voyage its a 2001 movie which stars Judd Nelson  from The Breakfast Club movie and Cabin by the Lake which both movies I love!…..anyway I  guess I never seen this movie of his. Probably because it was straight to DVD or TV whichever. The movie was not bad for a low budget movie. Another movie was called Intermedio. Never heard or seen that either until today. Another low budget but not to bad of one. I have seen some really cheesey ones so this was not as bad as some maybe. I would recommend watching if you see it on TV.

My day has been sort of horrible though from the start. My stomach was upset ths morning when I woke up …I think it was something I ate the following night….I feel better now at least but still ugh…all this in one day. Yep its just one of those days I guess!

Well I’m off for the night……peace :)

Harry and the Hendersons! – Walking Tall (1973) – The Marine

Posted by David Forsyth on August 8th, 2007

I love the Harry and the Hendersons movie. Plain and simple.

my blog post is done

Ok ok seriously this movie just cracks me up. It’s another movie I used to watch as a kid and still love it even in this day and age. Yep I’m old but still love the classics and this one sure is!

YouTube Video - Harry and the Hendersons movie clip

Unfortunately this is the only legit clip I can find thats not been screwed around with. But This movie is just great. Harry “Bigfoot” just cracks me up. I recommend it for just about anyone to watch! :D

Unfortunately when my netflix came today I got all excited knowing this was one of the movies I was going to get to watch….well not exactly  the DVD was  broken!….ughhhhh so now I have to wait for a replacement of it to come. Oh well I suppose.

The other movie however I did get is Walking Tall (1973)

Yep its not the 2004 one staring The Rock. I bought that version on DVD a while back. But the classic one still holds up to be a very good movie. My dad used to love watching that movie when I was little and I got into it afterwards as well. So I rented it to watch it for old take sake. I plan on buying it eventually.

Lastly and currently I’m watching The Marine on CineMax at this very moment. Sure I own the DVD but I have not watched it since the first time I got the DVD so I’m watching it now. WWE‘s John Cena really did good in this movie. Ok ok so I might be really the only one that enjoyed this movie but I like this 80′s throw back smash’em up Commando, Rambo style movies! This movie had the action and yes the humor as well. It’s not for everyone but I liked the movie so thats what counts. :D

Could not stand it anymore!

Posted by David Forsyth on August 6th, 2007

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh with all this damn heat as of late I just could not stand it anymore! I had to get a haircut

My hair was getting a bit to long for my standards although its a bit shorter now then I am used to but at this very moment I could careless because in this humidity like heat I’m just melting away!

I can’t wait for summer to be over and fall moving in because ugh this heat is just killing me. Between headaches and such yep I can’t stand it anymore.

Anyway just a short ramble  peace I’m off

Another Movie Thoughts Discussion

Posted by David Forsyth on August 5th, 2007

Ok well here it goes my yet not so famous rambling on movies

A r/t (real time) friend of mine sent me some movies to watch yesterday. As I mentioned in my post the other day. I got the movie 300, Hot Fuzz, Pathfinder and the movie The Number 23.

Well I finally watched 300. Now this movie I liked. It had what I was looking for. Some of it could have been better in spots but other wise I was pretty much into this movie. The surprise part about it is I wasn’t really looking forward to this movie when it was out at the theatre so I didn’t go watch it. I’m not to disappointed on that choice because to me it was good but not worth that area. Anyway I enjoyed the movie better then I would have ever thought I would have.

Hot Fuzz well I have yet to watch so check back here for more thoughts on that at a later time :)

Pathfinder…instead of just rambling on here about Pathfinder you can find my thoughts on my SLCN Member blog at http://starlightchat.net/memberblogs/davidforsyth

Ahhhh then there is the movie The Number 23. What to say. Firstly another friend recommended that I just avoid watching this moving stating it was boring and nothing to it. However since I didn’t waste my money on it and I lead a pretty boring life I thought what the hell since it was here I would at least give it a chance to get my own thoughts on it.

The one thing with The Number 23 movie its not what the previews make it out to be. Sure it has its parts but unless your a die hard fan of Jim Carrey and you like the movie of his called Enternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind then I would probably avoid this movie. Since I enjoyed the Enternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind movie The Number 23 was ok to me. I did think it could be better though..it was a bit long in that sense of it just dragging on. But anyway it was ok. I probably would never buy it..but again I got to see it for free so heh…although the sex scenes in The Number 23 was pretty hot

Anyway to make it short on what I think….

300 – is a good rent possibly a buying movie if you like those style of movies…..

Pathfinder – is a rent only to me..but thats my thoughts only :)

Hot Fuzz – to be continued ;)

The Number 23 – Rent only if you like Jim Carrey and are ok with long dragging style movies.

Well its time for me to make like a Bakery Truck and haul my buns outta here!   …… peace

300, Pathfinder, Hot Fuzz

Posted by David Forsyth on August 3rd, 2007

I got 3 movies off a friend tonight so that I have something to watch tomorrow. Over the past couple of weeks I have had a few of my friends recommending I watch the movie 300, Pathfinder and Hot Fuzz.

Honestly the movies didn’t really interest me. But I’m going to give them a chance to prove me wrong and that they are good movies to watch. Hopefully all the ones that have mentioned how good they are is correct on their thoughts.

Anyone short and sweet post tonight because I’m tired and going to bed afterwards. Here is the trailers for the 3 movies I got. 300, Pathfinder and Hot Fuzz

Movies….donations

Posted by David Forsyth on August 2nd, 2007

I was given a movie to watch today. It’s called Because I Said so and it stars Diane Keaton and Mandy Moore……

I did not expect I would like this movie right off. It had sound more like a chick flick. Ok so it still might be considered that but the movie sure did crack me up in spots. Diane Keaton rocks usually in movies. There is one scene in the movie that is just to funny but I won’t spoil it. If you like those little humor chick flick style movies pick this up and watch it…its good…here is the trailer

My next 3 netflix movies have came in and I got….

Six Pack is a all time favorite of mine. One of Kenny Rogers best movies besides The Gambler movies. It’s a classic and I like it …plus its been a while since I have watched it.

Pretty Cool Too…..ugh dumb period…I highly don’t recommend this bad cheesy comedy movie.

Independence Day…is another fav of mine. Sure it’s one of those movies that will always be shown on tv but hell I got bored did not know what to watch and I haven’t seen it in a short bit of time so I thought what the hell. Will Smith did great in this movie. Actually the whole cast. Randy Quaid is great in his role even.

Coming soon the Starlight Chat Network is going to start another donation thing again. No not a donation for us to get money for or own pockets but in fact we will give a part of whatever we make to a charity of a list we approve. Check out www.starlightchat.org our Starlight Chat Network Newsletter Blog for more details that will be coming soon. Last year we ran this during the month of Dec. and we donated a little to Toys for Tots, Cancer research, Aids research and the Red Cross. It’s our way to help giving help in those areas. We hope we get the same good response as we did last year. This year we plan on doing it a little earlier then Dec. This year it will be a Birthday style bash of a thing as the Starlight Chat Network will officially have another year on Sept. 23rd.  Anyway remember to check out the newsletter blog for details that will come soon…

Well that’s all I have for now so peace I’m outta here……
