Good News!, Trying something new

Posted by David Forsyth on May 18th, 2008

Well good news finally is slowly coming my way from what I was told from www.paypal.com. They told me that if the one that tried to rip me off of a good amount of money does not show a transaction # of the item being shipped that I would get a full refund so ahhh I am happy regarding that!

I am giving something new a try. I saw a ad on tv for a phone setup offer. It’s called MagicJack. Which can be located at www.magicjack.com. While the only close number area I can get for a phone number is in Lancaster Ohio. At least that is close to me it should in theory still work without an extra charge. What is the best thing about this offer? Well it says for only $19.95 a year….yes a Year! I can get a number that will work through my broadband connection. With this I can even make long distance calls. So no more phone cards for me! *LOL*. This service also says it comes with caller ID and Voice Mail. Hey for only $19.95 a year I’ll give it a shot. What is the worst thing that could happen? It not work right? Oh well you won’t hear me bitch to much. If it was a montly payment well and it sucked then I would definitely drop them. So anyway I’m looking forward to trying this thing out. I’ll post my thoughts once I get the software/hardware to get things setup. I purchased it this past saturday. Yes its $39.95 plus shipping of $6.95 but that also covers your first year with them. I’m in no way mentioning this as a way to say go out and buy it because again I have not tried it. Once I do I will as I said post my thoughts about it.

MagicJack rates for calls to phones outside the U.S. and Canada vary from 2 cents per minute to landlines in the U.K., Germany, and France up to $1.21 per minute to Antarctica, according to a list posted by YMax, MagicJack’s parent company. Service to these countries at these rates will reportedly begin in early 2008. If the international party you are calling also has a MagicJack, the call is free.

MagicJack features include:

• Free directory assistance using the Free411 Web site

• Free 911 service in the United States (you enter your physical address once, which you can change at any time);

• Free voicemail (even if your computer is off)

• Free call forwarding to your cell phone or any other phone.

The 911 service requires not only that you enter your current address, but also (as with any MagicJack call) that you have power and a working Internet connection so you can dial the number.

If you use Microsoft Outlook, you can also download a plug-in that adds a toolbar to that program for one-click dialing of a selected contact

holding a grudge? and other things…

Recently someone pointed out to me something regarding a comment about holding a grudge. Asking me personally if it was directed to me because I have a certain someone on BOS (boot on sight) at my sites.

Let me personally clear the air. Nope I hold no grudges. However I do not stand for ones who try to lure my members/room owners over to a site they are now at. I was recently had a comment that I am acting as if I work at another chat site. Ummm no I am a site owner trying to keep advertising ways off mine. I think it’s a cheap and pathetic move for one to try to lure because they are pissed at someone.

The one that is BOS will remain there. She broke the rules of my site and she knew exactly what would happen when she did. Is it a grudge? Nope because I have moved on. But I do find it funny that even after all this time this certain someone still likes to try to poke around on my sites, my personal blog, and message boards of the sites at that. Not only that but likes to take a cheap shot regarding me because she is pissy because I didn’t kiss her ass. She is pissy because I got tired of hearing the whoa is me shit.

Hey enough regarding her because unlike some…I have truly moved on. I mean how long ago has it been since I have really spoken about this one? See I can move on….and have….

And on that note I am moving on from that topic and moving along to another *LOL*

Why did I make this a registered only blog? Well it’s simple…..

I did it because of nosey people that I don’t want to see my ramblings. Sure I know where is a way to see this still because I am a allowing it to be seen via the rss.. This way I can control a bit more of who can see my blog and who can’t. In most regards that is. Now sure I will still have some private posts that is meant for just me but that’s life deal with it :P

Recently I did a bid on ebay for a item and well it turns out it was a scam and the person just ripped me off of some money! Well hopefully ebay and paypal can get this situation fixed because I sure am one pissed off man when it comes to being ripped out of money. I think most people would be in those regards!

I’ll try to post something about some movies I seen recently soon. I know I said that before but I swear this time I will try!
